FAQs

What qualifications are required to train to be a teacher with the CLF SCITT?

You will need a GCSE, grade C or above, in Maths and English (also Science for primary teaching).  You will also need an honours degree.

Does my degree need to be in the subject I want to teach?

No, we will consider applications from people with relevant experience.  In some cases there may be a requirement to complete a subject knowledge enhancement course.

When can I start my application?

Applications are now open for the 2017-18 cohort and are completed via the UCAS website

When will the next leadership courses be starting eg. NPQH, NPQSL & NPQML?

Like all providers nationally we are currently waiting for the result of our recent application to extend our Licence beyond September 2017 to deliver these courses.  This result will now be available after the general election.  In the meantime we are continuing to collect names of those who would be interested in studying with us.

When will the next gateway assessment for NPQH be open?

We are trying to keep to our usual timescale which would mean the gateway assessment would open late June, with results issued in July, ready for those who pass to study with us from the autumn term.
