Welcome to the CLF Institute website

The CLF Institute is the home of the Cabot Learning Federation Teaching School Alliance (TSA), the CLF School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) provision, an accredited provider of National Professional Qualifications in education leadership and the Boolean Maths Hub. The purpose of the CLF Institute is to provide training and professional development for staff and support for school improvement within and beyond the Federation.

The CLF Institute’s work is organised under the strands of Teacher Training; Professional Development; School to School Support; Research and Projects.

For teachers, the CLF Institute aims to provide a continuum of development through each career stage from initial teacher training (ITT), for newly qualified teachers (NQT), recently qualified teachers in their early career development, to successive stages of leadership.

The CLF Institute also provides access to training for all roles in school and for every member of our CLF Academies’ staff and Academy Councillors, as well as serving our wider local and regional partnerships and communities, through short courses and conferences.

The Institute is currently based at the King’s Oak Academy site in Kingswood.
